Eelmore # 2 11th May Results
www.agiskoviner.com Eelmore Circuit Races 11th May 2005 As soon as the sun went behind the clouds, it was remarkably cold, so most riders took to arm and knee warmers, but this did not the racing being hot and fast. Another good turn out for so early in the year. Maybe it's everyone practising for this Sunday at Crawley? Same time next week for the same sort of fast, almost flat out racing. 1900 seniors (all categories) and 1830 for youths. It may be something to do with having Lewis Atkins around! He was tired from placing second behind Tony Gibb at Hillingdon the evening before, so he opted for the lesser category race, but he still had more than enough firepower to see the rest off with a strong bridge to some lone breakaways, whom he then dropped and rode round to finish alone, a fast finishing group sprinting in behind for the placings. 1 Lewis Atkins Glendene CC/Biketrax 2 Richard Cowen Swindon RC 3 Nick Gilding Willesden CC 4 Max Harris www.agiskoviner.com 5 Mark Bremner VC Meudon 6 John Hyde CC Basingstoke 7 Stuart Grimes Team Axiom 8 Steve Elms i-team.co.uk 9 Angus McInness RAF CC 10 Adrian Brown www.agiskoviner.com E/1/2 Another attempt from the gun saw a select leading group go away and stay away. The remaining bunch made their own attempts to find the placings, with the result being little groups splattered around the circuit. Eventually Paul Pickup made it off the front of the leading foursome to win alone. 1 Paul Pickup Liphook Cycles RT 2 Lee Day Liphook Cycles RT 3 Jason Edwards Ewhurst Control Wildside Cycles 4 Jamie Newall Evans RT 5 Anders Christensen VC Meudon 6 Mark Pettitt www.agiskoviner.com 7 Dave Larcombe VC Meudon 8 Nick Dawes FCCC East St Cycles/Porsche 9 Tom Smith Vinerbikes Agisko 10 Adrian Goatley www.agiskoviner.com If you would like to be part of a successful club that supports and encourages riders at all levels and of all standards, please contact Gary Kristensen MBE via the website "Contact Us" link on www.agiskoviner.com.
